Toyota renames its electric SUV for 2026, ditching the bZ4X name for the simpler bZ epithet. While the bZ4X moniker meets its maker, the model it adorned lives on. Albeit with some tweaks. Alongside updated exterior and interior styling, the bZ trades the ol’ 4X’s CCS charge port for a Tesla-derived NACS one. All-wheel-drive bZs make 338-hp, a big bump from the outgoing dual-motor bZ4X’s 215 horses. The bZ also gets a different set of battery pack options relative to its 4X-badged predecessor, with Toyota estimating—when properly equipped—a maximum range of up to 314 miles, or 62 miles greater than the maximum EPA estimate of the defunct bZ4X.—GFMORE ABOUT THE TOYOTA BZ4X
