Adoni, a Cybertruck owner from South Carolina, reports that he recently had to visit the emergency room after accidentally injuring his fingers on the sharp corners of his Cybertruck.
Adoni shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.
He writes…
“A little trip to the emergency room this morning… Stay safe out there, my fellow Cybertruck owners!”
Below his post, Adoni shared several pictures. The first picture shows his ring finger with deep cuts on the fingertip and his fingernails nearly cut in half.
Adoni also posted a picture of his Cybertruck door splattered with blood droppings. You can view all the photos on the Cybertruck Owners Only group, but be warned that some may find the images graphic.
This is definitely not ideal; however, looking at the comments, multiple Cybertruck owners shared that they, too, have been injured by the truck’s sharp edges, and some even showed much more concerning cuts, including peeled fingernails, gauged wrists, and cut nipples.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, AJ Starsiak, shows a deep cut on his wrist caused by the Cybertruck’s quarter panel.
AJ says he was climbing out of the Cybertruck bed by stepping on the tires; however, he slipped and accidentally cut his wrist badly on the truck’s sharp stainless steel edge.
AJ writes…
“Got this when I was getting out of my buddy’s Cybertruck bed. These edges are insane!!!”
Below his post, AJ shared a picture of his wrist with deep cuts going all the way through, and five stitches holding his skin together.
This is concerning, and after seeing the horrifying images, fellow Cybertruck owner Larry Conger commented that the Cybertruck’s edges aren’t sharp enough to cause such a severe cut.
In response, AJ writes…
“I promise you, the quarter panel is that sharp. I got this and another cut on my shin that needed stitches when I slipped off the tire while getting out of the Cybertruck bed.”
Another Cybertruck owner, Andrew Hall, says he cut his nipples twice on the sharp edge of the Cybertruck bed, presumably trying to load the bed or clean the vehicle.
Andrew writes…
“I have cut my nipple area on the back corners of the Cybertruck at least twice already, cutting around the back of it.”
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Tina Ennocenti, reports that her Cybertruck’s door similarly injured her 8-year-old daughter’s fingers, suggesting that the vehicle may be more prone to such accidents because of its large, sharp doors and the lack of door handles.
Tina writes…
“Oh my goodness, my 8-year-old suffered the same accident; now she doesn’t like the Cybertruck. There’s no door handle, so it’s easy for that to happen.”

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Steve Ramsey, also suffered similar cuts on his hands due to the truck’s sharp corners, and his fingertip turned completely blue after the accident.
However, unlike Tina, Steve says it’s his fault for being clumsy and doesn’t want to blame the Cybertruck.
Steve writes…
“I got into the same accident last week. I was being careless and clumsy. Trip to the emergency room. But my finger was not broken.”
Below his post, Steve shared two images: an X-ray of his fingers following the accident, and a photo showing his hands with a deep cut on his fingertips and his middle finger fully turned blue due to lack of blood flow.
Another Cybertruck owner, Jaswinder Singh Jammu, shared that he also injured himself because of the truck’s sharp corners and showed a picture with his finger nails peeled off and his hands covered in blood.
In addition to the people mentioned above, more than 15 Cybertruck owners reported being hurt by the truck’s sharp edges and shared several images showing the extent of the damage.
This is not ideal; however, looking at the comments, several Cybertruck owners have also come to the truck’s defense, arguing that the blame lies with the individuals who were injured, not the Cybertruck.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Michael Johnson, simply responded by writing…
“Natural selection”
Another Cybertruck owner, Dustin Downard, in response to suggestions that Tesla should add sensors that will stop owners from hurting themselves, wrote, saying…
“What sensor would sense fingers on the edge of a door? Just close doors without your fingers there. Things happen”
Besides defending the truck, another interesting theme we saw is Cybertruck owners warning others to get the blood out of their truck immediately.
The concern is that blood contains iron, which could cause the truck’s stainless steel to rust if not cleaned immediately.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Maurice Fuller, writes…
“More importantly, hurry up and get that blood off of the stainless steel…. It will start to eat through the finish. Blood and steel aren’t friends (from what someone told me).”
Another Cybertruck owner, Derik Fairchild, writes…
“Blood has iron, iron rusts.”
This is definitely an interesting concern. However, please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the red “Add new comment” button below. Also, be sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
