Edward Daly, a Cybertruck owner from Florida, says that his truck has been in service every month since he bought it six months ago in February.
Initially, Edward was a big fan of the Cybertruck; he even sold all his diesel and gasoline vehicles to rely solely on the Cybertruck for his farming needs.
Regrettably, Edward says the Cybertruck honeymoon didn’t last long, and problems started to emerge just three days after his purchase.
Since then, the truck has faced one issue after another.
According to Edward, the main issue he’s dealing with has to do with the Cybertruck’s air suspension.
Edward reports that the air suspension has leaks and overheats on a regular basis. He has taken his truck to Tesla several times, and each time, the service team sends him home claiming the issue is fixed — only for the problem to return a few days later.
In addition to the air suspension issues, Edward has faced several other problems, including severe vibrations, high voltage battery warnings, wheel damage caused during service, and broken seats.
Specifically regarding the broken seats, Tesla blamed Edward for causing the damage. However, Edward states he weighs only 150 lbs, has a bad back, and moves like an 80-year-old.
He finds it hard to believe he could be so destructive as to break the seat twice.
After dealing with these numerous problems and receiving his service manager’s approval, Edward finally asked Tesla to buy back his Cybertruck. Sadly, Tesla’s higher-ups denied his request.
Edward shared his story on the Tesla Cybertruck group on Facebook.
He writes…
My truck has been to the service center almost every month since I bought it in February 2025.
I sold all my gas and diesel vehicles on my farm and now use the Cybertruck instead. So I love this truck.
However, I’ve had countless issues with the air suspension, starting just three days after I took delivery.
I’ve been blamed for causing problems with the air suspension and told it’s within the design specs, only to find air leaks later. It was ‘fixed,’ but I still have the same problems.
Everything is documented, including videos and all supporting materials.
Recently, I was told not to use any of the air suspension features anymore, claiming it’s the “fix”… but I literally get overheating after driving my truck to my chicken coop, which is just a few hundred yards from my house.

The air suspension is only one of the issues I faced. During a service visit, Tesla broke the aero cover’s center attachment ring, causing vibrations on the wheel and resulting in severe scratches.
They offered to replace the $85 covers.
I’ve also received a high-voltage battery warning and broken the driver’s seat. I told them if I broke it just by sitting in it, what does that say about the truck? This has happened twice.
I’m a 150-pound, 100% disabled veteran with a messed-up back that moves like I’m 80 years old. How am I so destructive that the truck is falling apart?
I have videos showing the insane vibration while driving, and they just say everything is within specs… but I don’t think it is, since many others are very happy with their trucks.
I really wish I still felt happy about mine. I was actually advised to look into my options for a buyback or replacement.
I sent that in with the help of the service manager. Tesla decided to refuse my request.
I’m sick of being blamed for problems with the truck. It’s beyond frustrating and just wrong in my opinion.”
This is definitely not ideal, and fellow Cybertruck owners agree that Tesla should buy back Edward’s truck.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Da Neil, writes…
“That sounds crazy. What happened? Did they buy it back? How are you supposed to not use the air suspension?
Upload a video of the suspension malfunctioning. There is no reason you shouldn’t be able to use the air suspension on a new truck under warranty; that’s absurd.”
In response, Edward says that since Tesla has refused to buy back his truck, he’ll be forced to take antagonistic measures.
Edward writes…
“Tesla has refused to buy back my Cybertruck, so I guess I’ll have to get ugly now.”
Getting into a legal battle with a company that sold you a defective product is not ideal; however, please let me know what you think in the comments.
