Source : Mobility Outlook Bureau | TVS Motor Company announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved the appointment of Sudarshan Venu as the incoming Chairman and Managing Director of the company, effective August 25, 2025. The move recognises his significant contributions to the company’s sustained growth and strategic evolution during his tenure as Director and Managing Director.
The current Chairman, Sir Ralf Speth, has informed the Board that he will not be seeking reappointment as a Director at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 22, 2025, and will step down from his role at the conclusion of the meeting. However, he will continue his association with TVS Motor Company as Chief Mentor for a period of three years, beginning August 23, 2025.
Venu Srinivasan, Chairman Emeritus of TVS Motor Company, expressed his appreciation for Sir Ralf Speth’s leadership, stating, “Ralf’s contributions over the past three years have been invaluable, particularly in guiding our global expansion and innovation journey. We are grateful for his continued support as Chief Mentor and confident that Sudarshan will take TVS to even greater heights in his new role.”
Reflecting on his tenure, Sir Ralf Speth said, “It has been an honour to serve as Chairman of TVS Motor Company. I am proud of the progress we’ve made together. As I pass the baton to Sudarshan, I am confident that his vision and leadership will continue to steer the company forward while upholding the values that define TVS.”
Accepting the appointment, Sudarshan Venu said, “As we move ahead, we must build on our strong foundation of customer focus, quality, and technology while embracing new opportunities and innovation. I look forward to the continued support of the team and am deeply grateful to both our Chairman Emeritus and Sir Ralf for their mentorship and guidance.”
