Nissan
- For 2026, Nissan brings back the Heritage Edition for the Z sports car with a new look.
- The Z Heritage Edition wears Midnight Purple paint (emulating the R34 GT-R) and bronze Rays wheels.
- There’s also a carbon-fiber rear spoiler and “Twin Turbo” graphics on the spoiler and along the doors.
The Nissan Z sports car is one of the Japanese brand’s most iconic models, and the latest generation, which debuted in 2023, played off the model’s storied past with retro design cues, such as the Y-shaped hood bulge and taillights that mimicked those of the 300ZX. Nissan took the old-school cool even further with a Heritage Edition in 2024, which now returns with a new look for 2026 meant to honor the 300ZX of the 1990s. Also known by the internal code Z32, the second-generation 300ZX, introduced in 1989, was among several legendary Japanese sports cars of its era that helped fuel an entire generation of automotive enthusiasm and tuner culture. This 2026 Nissan Z Heritage Edition carries several callouts to the Z32, with “Twin Turbo” graphics emblazoned in bronze along the doors, matching a set of bronze 19-inch Rays wheels.NissanThe Heritage Edition wears a carbon-fiber rear spoiler—also adorned by “Twin Turbo” badging, this time in white. The Z badge on the rear pillar now has a gold wreath and sits above the words “Heritage Edition.”The other key change for this special-edition Z coupe is the Midnight Purple paint, which references one of Nissan’s most iconic hues made famous on the Skyline GT-R in the 1990s. The lush hue is contrasted by red brake calipers. Inside, Nissan fitted door sill plates and floor mats that read “Heritage Edition.” The Heritage Edition is based on the Performance trim, bringing a mechanical limited-slip differential, Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, and a nine-inch touchscreen. The power-operated seats are heated, as are the side mirrors. NissanNissanAlong with the Heritage Edition trim, the 2026 Nissan Z will continue to be sold in three variants: Sport, Performance, and NISMO. For 2026, the Sport and Performance can be specified with a new Boulder Gray paint color, paired with a black roof, but there are no other changes to the Z for the new model year. Sales of the 2026 model kick off later this month.More on the Z
