In a vibrant tribute to Kerala’s Onam festival, JSW MG Motor India has set a new record by creating Asia’s largest ‘Carkalam’—a massive pookalam (floral rangoli) crafted with 306 MG electric vehicles. Held at the Grand Hyatt Bolgatty in Kochi, the spectacle has entered the Asia Book of Records, blending cultural heritage with automotive innovation.
The record-breaking initiative was a joint effort by MG’s dealer network, customers, and employees, reflecting the brand’s deep commitment to Kerala’s community and traditions.
Commenting on the milestone, Udit Malhotra, Head of Marketing, JSW MG Motor India, said, “Through innovative initiatives and best-in-class products, we aim to redefine mobility while celebrating Kerala’s rich traditions. This achievement is a proud moment for MG and our customers.”
Recognising the feat, Vivek Nair, Senior Adjudicator at Asia Book of Records, said, “This accomplishment beautifully merges culture with creativity and sets a new benchmark in community engagement.”
With over 543 touchpoints across 270 cities, including a newly inaugurated MG SELECT Experience Centre in Kochi, MG Motor continues to strengthen its footprint in Kerala with innovative products and robust aftersales support.
