The mid-size SUV sector isn’t known for its premium luxury offerings, but GMC intends to change that. GMC is giving its 2026 Acadia its ultra-premium Denali Ultimate trim, offering a luxury take on what are usually family haulers. GMC has found in the past that if given the choice, buyers usually opt for its most luxurious trim package. The strategy has worked well for the GMC Yukon and the GMC Sierra pickup. The typical GMC buyer wants performance and prestige. The Acadia is the latest in GMC’s lineup to receive the ultra-premium trim. With the new trim package, the Acadia now resembles a slightly smaller GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate.
“Denali Ultimate represents the pinnacle of premium expression for the GMC brand, delivering an innovative mixture of stunning craftsmanship and real-world capability,” says Jaclyn McQuaid, global vice president, Buick and GMC. “Expanding Denali Ultimate’s innovative technologies and exclusive design elements to the Acadia nameplate allows us to further differentiate our mid-size offering in a highly competitive segment.”
2026 GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate
The GMC Acadia originally debuted as a sister vehicle to the Buick Enclave and the Chevrolet Traverse. Over the years, GM has differentiated the vehicles, with the Acadia taking on more of the GMC premium trim. The 2026 GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate has a signature Vader Chrome grille and GMC logo, LED daytime running lamps with animated lighting sequence, exclusive badging, and 22-inch machined aluminum wheels with After Midnight Metallic finish.
The new interior really helps set the Acadia Denali Ultimate apart. It has heated and ventilated full leather massaging front seats with contrast stitching. The Denali Ultimate also has real wood trim with laser-etched accents. There are embossed topographical maps on the seat backs, door trim and map pockets. It also has special Denali Ultimate badging on the vehicle’s seat backs.
Additional features for the Acadia Denali Ultimate include:
- Bose 16-Speaker Performance Series Sound System
- Super Cruise2 hands-free driver assistance technology
- 22-inch machined aluminum wheels with After Midnight Metallic finish and all-season tires
- Panoramic Sunroof
- 9 camera views including HD Surround Vision
- Rear Camera Mirror
- Configurable 8-inch diagonal Head-Up Display
- AutoSense Power Liftgate
