Anthony, an early Cybertruck owner from New York, is looking to start a petition urging Tesla to offer the same perks to early Cybertruck owners like himself as those provided to later buyers.
Anthony shared a list of all the “free stuff” that later Cybertruck buyers are receiving compared to early owners and argued that early owners deserve their fair share of the perks.
Anthony specifically pointed to the free lifetime supercharger access that Tesla began offering to later Cybertruck buyers as a feature he wants to be offered to early buyers.
Regarding why early Cybertruck owners deserve free supercharger access after purchasing their vehicles without the feature, Anthony listed several reasons, first pointing out how loyal early Cybertruck buyers are to the Tesla brand.
Anthony also highlights the frustrations that early Cybertruck owners faced, such as waiting over a year for some paid features to be installed, including the PowerShare equipment and the off-road light bar.
Anthony also notes that early Cybertruck owners have faced multiple issues, including the eight physical recalls that Tesla has filed with regulators for the all-electric truck.
In addition, Anthony notes that early Cybertruck owners have also experienced multiple reliability issues beyond the official recalls.
The frustrated Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
“Let’s petition Tesla & Elon Musk: Grant Lifetime Supercharging to All Foundation Series Cybertruck Owners
Seems only fair:
– Our brand loyalty
– Our patience waiting for PowerShare and Light-bar
– Persisting issues and recalls
– Tesla gave lifetime Supercharging in early December 2024 to leftover Foundation Cybertrucks in inventory
– We are the few who ordered in 2019 and waited up to 5 years to get their vehicles
– You can now buy a new Cybertruck, and while priced up by $14,990, the Luxe Package now includes lifetime Supercharging and more.”
This is definitely an interesting perspective, and looking at the comments, many loyal Tesla and Elon Musk fans surprisingly shared their belief that they deserve free lifetime supercharger access for their all-electric trucks.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Jeffery from Connecticut, writes…
“I agree, free lifetime supercharging, and Tesla can keep the light bar.

My Foundation Cybertruck costs about $ 115,000. I would have waited if I knew I could get free lifetime supercharging with my order.
I took it as soon as it was available to support Elon, and now it’s time for Elon to step up and treat us as good as the Johnny come latelys.
I support Elon with everything. I have a Tesla Model X and a premium X account with Grok.”
Another Cybertruck owner, Silvio from Orlando, Florida, writes…
“I agree with you! Though I don’t think Tesla will give us free Supercharger access. Look at Tesla Hardware 3 computer folks waiting for their upgrade… I am afraid we paid the price for not waiting…”
Other Cybertruck owners say they agree with the idea of pressuring Tesla to give them free lifetime supercharger access, but ask how they can bring attention to their petition.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Garanian, writes…
“I’m ready.
How do we get this done?”
Another owner from Pennsylvania asks…
“How, though? Do we use X?”
In response, Anthony suggests that Cybertruck owners should share their demands with Elon Musk on his platform X.
However, if this fails, Anthony recommends selling their current Cybertruck and purchasing a new one with lifetime free supercharger access.
Anthony writes…
“We can start by posting this thread on X if we get a lot of attention here.
It’s also looking like trade-in values are super high now. Maybe we’ll be able to get a new Cybertruck with the Luxe Package for close to nothing. Gain Lifetime Supercharging, 4 Year Premium Service (Wheel, Tire, Windshield Protection, and required service), and a brand new Cybertruck.
Waiting on my trade-in estimate.”
