Anytime Anyone Says Anything Bad About My Tesla Cybertruck, I Ask What They Drive and It’s Always a Junky Car, Including One Person In a Nissan Sentra Who Told Me My Cybertruck Was Terrible – Stop Blindly Hating, It Makes You Look Dumb

We had to laugh when we spotted this comment at the Tesla Cybertruck page on Facebook. We had just been touring New Hampshire’s pretty places in a Volvo XC90, and spotted a Cybertruck looking out of place among the Subarus and, well, more Subarus. The Cybertruck stuck out like a sore thumb in quaint New Hampshire, and this post offered a very different view of how one might feel about Tesla’s biggest blunder. Let’s see what some other folks have to say about the Cybertruck. But first, here is the comment that was posted in its entirety, edited only for grammar.

Anytime someone says anything bad about my Tesla, I ask them what car they drive. They never respond. They say my Tesla is so bad, but they drive a Kia Soul or a Nissan Altima with a missing bumper. I see it in their profile pic or their header photo. I had a guy parked next to my Cybertruck one day in a Nissan Sentra, telling people how terrible it was. These people hate from the outside and have never even driven one. Stop blindly hating. It makes you look very uneducated.

The Cybertruck – Love Or Not, Its Numbers Are Terrible
Whether your opinion is that you love or dislike the Tesla Cybertruck, we can all agree on facts, right? Here are some facts about Cybertruck
-It barely sells
-Tesla is sitting on a mountain of inventory
-Tesla has not yet sold off its 2024 production Cybertrucks
-Discounts are approaching five figures
What Do Cybertruck Owners Say About Their Vehicles In Comparison To Lesser Ones
Cybertruck owners seem to be convinced that their vehicle is the best in the world. Many owners chimed in under the original post. Here are a few good comments supporting the Cybertruck from such owners:
-“I love it when people who have never driven an EV or even been in one are experts on the subject.”
-“They hate because they have to drive their cars while watching us scroll Facebook during the morning commute.”
-“I was at the Chicago Auto Show this past February, and the line to get into the Cybertruck to check it out was the longest line in the place.”
-“I own one- just pay cash for a foundation without thinking twice. These people can even afford one, so they talk.”
-“Everyone needs a villain in their stories. We just happen to be their Villain this election cycle.”
-“They are uneducated. They think colledge made them smart, but all they got wash brainwashed.” (We cut and pasted this comment unedited and left the spelling error in on purpose).
A few folks boldly offered anti-Cybertruck comments – inside the Cybertruck Club. Here’s what the trolls added:
-“How is it a blind judgment when that hideous box design is glaring in my eyes?”
-“They hate the car because of what it, and you, represent… it has nothing to do with the actual attributes of you or the truck.”
-“What bothers me is when I see a TESLA with a bumper or magnet that says
F ELON. Why drive a Tesla if you hate him so much?”
-“To be fair, a lot of people would rather look at an Altima missing a bumper and some hubcaps than a Cybertruck.”

As you can see, even within Tesla Cybertruck clubs, there are dissenters who are anti-Cybertruck. That is a bad sign. Most trolls are banned pretty quickly in clubs if they don’t support the main vehicle focus. Perhaps the admin just cannot keep up?
One member of the group, SR, offered perhaps the most comprehensive comment. Here’s SR’s manifesto:

Blindly hating? I think long charging times, less range, and $20,000 battery replacements every 12 to 15 years are good reasons to ‘hate” an inferior EV. Seriously, I don’t care if you want to drive an inferior EV or not. I just don’t want the government to force these inferior EVs on everyone. That’s what I hate.

So, now that you’ve heard both sides of the story, would you lean towards the anti-Cybertruck argument, or are you staunchly pro-Cybertruck? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. All views politely stated will be respected.
