A Tesla Enthusiast Takes a Cybertruck for a Test Drive & Ends Up Accidentally Totaling the Truck – Now He’s Asking Elon Musk’s Help; Says, “I Owe Well Over My $100K Insurance Limit”

Hachin is a Tesla enthusiast, and he recently borrowed a Cybertruck from Tesla for a test drive.
Regretably, during his test drive, Hachin says he got into a serious accident, and it appears that he has totaled the all-electric truck.
The Cybertruck buyer accepts all responsibility and admits that the accident was his fault.
This situation is already frustrating, and to make matters worse, Hachin reports that after the accident, he learned he owes a substantial amount of money for the damages.
According to Hachin, following the Cybertruck accident, he owes significantly more than the $100,000 limit his insurance is willing to cover.
Hachin did not share the exact details of how much he owes and was also intentionally vague about the circumstances behind the accident; nonetheless, the Cybertruck test driver says the financial burden from the accident is more than he can bear.
Now, Hachin is pleading with Elon Musk for help, stating that this ordeal is drowning him and that he doesn’t know where else to turn besides the Tesla CEO.
Hachin shared his story on X, repeatedly tagging Elon Musk’s personal account and all prominent Tesla “influencers” online.
Hachin writes…

“Elon Musk, I got into a serious accident during a Tesla Cybertruck test drive. I’m now being told I owe well over my $100K insurance limit. It was my fault, but I’m drowning. Please help me, Elon — this is ruining my life. I don’t know where else to turn.”

Below his post, Hachin shared a picture of the Cybertruck he took for a test drive after the accident.
As you can see in the picture below, the Cybertruck is stopped in the middle of a snowy road at night.
The vehicle’s front end is completely destroyed, with the front trunk, lightbar, headlights, and bumper on the driver’s side all damaged.
There also appears to be damage to the Cybertruck’s windshield, and the stainless panels appear to have popped off following the accident.

Warning: minor fender benders will total a #CyberTruck and Tesla may force you to buy the wreck. Yikes. pic.twitter.com/lpWhxVbWOS

Thankfully, despite the impact, Hachin is alive to tell his story, and it doesn’t appear he has sustained serious physical harm.
Having said that, despite his multiple attempts to reach Elon Musk, it doesn’t appear that Hachin’s pleadings are reaching the Tesla CEO.
Even if Musk hears Hachin’s story, it’s also not clear that the Tesla CEO will want to help him out in this regard.
Yes, this is a Tesla enthusiast who got into an accident while test-driving a Cybertruck, which is Elon Musk’s favorite Tesla product.
However, if Hachin is the cause of the accident and has already tapped out the coverage from his insurance, then it appears that he’ll have to pay the difference.
As I’ve already mentioned, Hachin was vague about the exact amount of money he owes and the circumstances of the accident.
However, most likely, Tesla has given Hachin the top-of-the-line tri-motor Cybertruck for him to take home and test drive overnight.
This vehicle, fully loaded, can cost more than $115,000, which means with the $100,000 from his insurance, Hachin owes an additional $15,000.
That’s certainly a significant amount to pay for a vehicle that you haven’t even purchased.
Additionally, while Hachin didn’t explicitly mention it, the collision may have involved another vehicle, and since he admitted fault, the other car owner’s insurance might come after him.
This means, in addition to the $15,000 he owes for the Cybertruck, Hachin might also have to pay tens of thousands of dollars for the other vehicle.
This is definitely concerning; however, please let me know what you think in the comments.
