Chris, a brand-new Cybertruck owner from Seattle, says he heard all the negative reports about the Cybertruck and almost decided against buying it.
However, he explains that he took a Cybertruck on a test drive and ended up falling in love with the vehicle.
Chris mentions that he was impressed by the truck’s turning radius, its intuitive and user-friendly infotainment system, and its full self-driving capabilities.
By this point, Chris was already sold on the Cybertruck; however, he still needed to discuss the purchase with his wife.
Chris says he was afraid she would say no, but after test-driving the Cybertruck, she told him she wanted to hate it, but she ended up loving the truck.
After getting his wife’s approval, Chris immediately decided to order a Cybertruck, and a few days later, he’s now a satisfied owner.
Chris is now a few days into his Cybertruck ownership experience and mentions that he couldn’t be happier. He notes that no vehicle is flawless, but adds that the Cybertruck is the closest to perfect he has ever encountered.
Chris admits the negative reports almost dissuaded him from buying a Cybertruck, but says that he’s glad he didn’t listen.
The satisfied Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…
“I fell for a bait-and-switch. New Cybertruck owner
After watching countless viral videos of quality control issues, fingers getting smashed in the front trunk, and FSD going crazy, I was reluctant. “It will never be a real truck” was ringing in my ears.
Then, I drove it; my mind started wandering…
How could a truck this big have the turning radius of a Porsche?
How can a touchscreen be so intuitive and user-friendly?
How did FSD just make turns, stop at stop signs, and halt for pedestrians?
Wait…this bed doesn’t have wheel cutouts… it can’t be… a functional truck?

Then, my wife drove it… I was ready for her to say “no.” Instead, she said, ‘I wanted to hate it. I’m kinda mad that I actually really love it.’
A few days later, I’m a satisfied Cybertruck owner and couldn’t be happier. No vehicle is perfect, but for me, the Cybertruck comes really close.
So yes, I fell for the negative publicity and criticism. I’m so glad I didn’t listen.”
In the few days he’s owned his Cybertruck, Chris seems very happy with his purchase, and looking at the comments, a lot of Cybertruck owners say they are satisfied with their trucks.
Some Cybertruck owners even go so far as to say that the all-electric truck has spoiled them for other vehicles.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Stephen from Denver, Colorado, writes…
“Yeah, I bought the truck a year ago. And it ruined my Porsche… Steer by wire for the win.”
Another Cybertruck owner, Steve from Washington, says…
“Welcome to Cybertruck ownership! It ruins you for anything else.
Also, I see you’re in Seattle, so have fun triggering everyone.”
A third Cybertruck owner from the Northeast writes…
“Yeah, almost fell for it myself.
The media really wants the Cybertruck to be terrible, and they’ve seemingly brainwashed millions into thinking it is.
On one side, non-owners and the media criticize it.
On the other side, people who have actually driven one believe it’s the best vehicle they’ve ever driven. Which is true?”
