A Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says His Truck is the Safest Vehicle in the World After it Saved His Life – Amazed, the Owner Asks, “How Did It Know to Wait?”

Michael, a Cybertruck owner from Delaware, claims there is no safer vehicle on the road after his Cybertruck saved him from a high-speed crash.
The situation began when Michael was cruising down the highway at 65 miles per hour, surrounded by another 6 to 8 vehicles.
Michael’s Cybertruck was driving using Tesla’s full self-driving software, and the truck indicated that it intended to change lanes.
However, with the turn signals on, the Cybertruck kept hesitating, and after a few seconds, Michael thought, “Cmon, make the lane change already.”
At this point, Michael was disappointed with the Cybertruck’s FSD software; however, just a couple of seconds later, a car came barreling down next to him at over 120 miles per hour, exceeding the speed limit by more than 65 mph.
The reckless driver sped alongside Michael’s Cybertruck in the lane he believed the FSD software should have already switched to.
Had Michael moved into that lane, the other driver, who was speeding recklessly, would have crashed into his Cybertruck, resulting in a serious accident.
Michael is thankful that the Cybertruck saved his life, and the happy Cybertruck owner shared his experience on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…

“THE Safest Vehicle Available.
There is NOTHING as safe on the road. Let me explain…
I ventured on another road trip recently, doesn’t matter what, where, etc…
I was on full self-driving with maybe 6 or 8 other random vehicles near me traveling approximately 65 in a 55, clear conditions, nighttime, no big deal.
My Cybertruck was preparing to change lanes at the moment. After 2-3 seconds of hesitation with the turn signal on, I thought, “Cmon, I would have gone already!”
Just then, a vehicle traveling at a very high rate (well over 120 mph) passed me on my right and somehow made it through the pack of cars near me unscathed!
How did it (my Cybertruck) know to wait?
That hesitation by my Cybertruck saved my life and the lives of others near me two days ago.
I believe history will show a motor vehicle renaissance of safety that started with Tesla’s full self-driving software.
We, like our beloved vehicles, must learn to be safer.”

Michael seems overjoyed that his Cybertruck stopped him from getting in a major accident, and looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners shared the belief that Tesla’s FSD software is already safer than human drivers.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, James Cole, writes…

“I believe we’ve reached a point where Tesla’s Full Self Driving software is safer than a human driver…”

Another Cybertruck owner, Vincent, seconds this sentiment, writing…

“As humans, when looking forward, we aren’t seeing behind us. While looking behind us, we aren’t seeing in front of us. FSD is looking 360 degrees constantly, and this seems like a major advantage to FSD.”

A third Cybertruck owner, Jay, agrees with this sentiment, writing…

“Anyone who uses FSD with the v13. x. x version already knows that FSD (Supervised) is already safer than most humans.
The most amazing thing is that v13 isn’t even the final form! I can’t wait to see how good v14 is.”

A lot of Cybertruck owners seem to believe Tesla’s FSD software is already better than human drivers.
However, some Cybertruck owners disagree and provide specific examples where Tesla’s FSD software falls short.
A fellow Cybertruck owner, Keith from New York, writes…

“The truck does not see potholes or highway medians, has attempted to make a left turn into the opposite lane of traffic several times, drives over the line onto the right shoulder, and pulls out in front of vehicles. These are the things that come to mind off the top of my head.”

Overall, while most Cybertruck owners agree that Tesla’s FSD software is already better than humans, some owners still do not believe FSD is ready for prime time.
