A Cybertruck Owner Says There is So Much Water Trapped Inside His Truck Floor That It Sloshes Around When He Drives, But Adds, “Tesla for Life, I’ll Never Switch Brands”

Trevor, a Cybertruck owner and Tesla investor from Seattle, says that Tesla recently had to buy back his truck because gallons of water got into his Cybertruck’s floor, and Tesla couldn’t fix the problem.
Trevor says the amount of water was so substantial that he could hear it sloshing around every time he accelerates and decelerates. Trevor adds that he could even hear the liquid sloshing around when making a simple turn.
On top of this, Trevor adds that every time he left his Cybertruck in the sun, a significant amount of moisture would build up on the inside of his windshield.
This situation is certainly far from ideal, and Trevor mentions that he took the issue to Tesla; however, despite numerous service efforts over three separate appointments, the company was unable to identify the cause of the problem.
Thankfully for Trevor, after the multiple failed attempts to fix his Cybertruck, Tesla offered to buy back his truck at nearly full price.
A vehicle that traps gallons of water, sloshes with every drive, and must be repurchased by the manufacturer will likely negatively affect some customers’ relationships with an automaker. However, Trevor insists he’s still a huge Tesla fan and he’ll never switch manufacturers, stating he used the money he received from Tesla to purchase another Cybertruck.
The surprisingly still strong Tesla supporter shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…

“Successful Foundation Series Buyback (lemon)
I just wanted to reach out to Cybertruck owners who might be experiencing the same issue that I had.
I had gallons of water ingress into the floorboard of my truck… it was sloshing around every time I accelerated, turned, or stopped.
It also created a large amount of moisture buildup on the windshield.
Anyway, after three unsuccessful service appointments to repair the issue, Tesla offered to “buy back” my Cybertruck (Foundation Series). I have since repurchased another Cybertruck (non-Foundation Series).
I have all my records of correspondence and would love to help anyone who needs it.
Hope everyone loves their truck as much as I do!”

Below his post, Trevor included all the correspondences he had with Tesla leading up to the company’s decision to buy back his truck.
Trevor shared a screenshot from his Tesla app showing the service history for his Cybertruck. He shows that he had service visits on September 4, October 17, and November 13.
Trevor also shared the official email he received from Tesla offering to buy back his Cybertruck.
The email sent from an official Tesla employee using an internal Tesla email reads…

“Hi,
Thank you for providing your supporting documents. Tesla will repurchase your vehicle. Please see the repurchase refund amount.”

In the email, Tesla includes the details of the buyback agreement, stating that the EV maker will pay Trevor $112,136 for his Cybertruck.

Trevor continues to write…

“I drove my Cybertruck 7,000 miles and they dinged me $1,235… but I got to keep my $2,500 Foundation Series credits and paid for my Powershare with that. (An oversight, I believe)”

This means that for the 7,000 miles he drove his vehicle, Tesla only devalued his Cybertruck by $1,235.
What’s likely going on here is that Tesla only considered the miles Trevor drove his Cybertruck before the water ingress issue was brought to the company’s attention for the first time back in September.
However, despite the multiple issues and Tesla having to buy back his Cybertruck, Trevor says he’ll not be considering any other automaker and writes…

“Tesla for life. I would never switch brands. Best cars ever”

Looking at the comments, the first thing people wanted to know was how the water got into Trevor’s Cybertruck and why Tesla wasn’t able to fix the problem.
In response, Trevor writes…

“A seam missed a seal somewhere. They conducted pressure smoke testing and everything, yet still never found the culprit. The alarming sign was that if the car was parked overnight, the interior would accumulate about an eighth of an inch of dew on the windows.
When I went in for my surrender appointment to drop off my truck, I saw two other Cybertrucks with the same symptoms sitting in a line, ready to be delivered.
I’m extremely happy that I’m not encountering a bunch of people with the same issue here. I’m hoping it was just an isolated incident. However, seeing the dew on the inside of those two Cybertrucks made me very concerned as a stockholder.
But I’m in it for the long haul. Tesla’s stock price going up to $2,500 is a real possibility, friends. Jump on now! Thank me later. (Do expect volatility, but patience will prevail.)”

For context, Tesla’s stock price as of this writing is $240 per share, and Trevor says that despite all the issues he has faced, he believes Tesla’s share price can increase more than tenfold.
This will put Tesla’s stock price around $8 trillion and will make the EV maker the biggest company in the world, dwarfing the likes of Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Alphabet (Google) by more than a factor of two.
It seems that the recent issues haven’t dampened Trevor’s enthusiasm for Tesla; however, please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the RED “Add new comment” button below. Also, be sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
