Subaru is launching limited-edition versions of its two performance cars. For 2026, the BRZ and WRX lineups are adding a Series.Yellow special edition based on their respective tS trims. As the name implies, the exteriors of the special editions are finished with Sunrise Yellow paint—following in the footsteps of models such as the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Special Edition and the Japan-only BRZ STI Sport and WRX STI S207 models.Michael Simari|Car and DriverOn the inside, the WRX comes with Recaro performance seats featuring yellow contrast stitching and yellow accents in the perforations. Similarly, the BRZ comes with black upholstery and contrasting yellow stitching for the seats, steering wheel, shifter, and parking brake. The Series.Yellow version of both the BRZ and WRX will be sold exclusively with the manual transmission. The rest of their performance metrics are identical to their tS variants. For the BRZ, that means pairing the six-speed transmission with a 228-hp naturally aspirated 2.4-liter flat-four engine. On the flip side, the WRX’s six-speed manual hooks up to a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four rated at 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The official reveal of the special-edition pairing is scheduled for September 14 at Subaru’s Boxerfest in York, Pennsylvania. Production is being limited to just 350 units for each model. Subaru said it will announce final pricing closer to when the models go on sale. More on the BRZ and WRX
