Overview First introduced as a coupe, the Ferrari Roma is now available only as the Spider convertible. No matter; it’s still a stunner. The 2+2 layout makes it borderline practical, while the 612-hp twin-turbo V-8 under that long hood is the perfect coffee-free way to wake you up on a morning commute. While the exterior is a nod to classic Ferrari design, inside is a screen-filled cockpit with modern amenities and some tech-fueled annoyances. But what matters most here is the Ferrari driving experience, which is in full effect even if the suspension is a bit softer and the steering a touch lighter on feel compared to the automaker’s more aggressive offerings. This is a Ferrari to enjoy on any road and in any circumstance.Expert Tip: Those who need a metal roof for their Ferrari grand tourer will have to wait for this car’s replacement, the Amalfi, to come online for the 2027 model year. What’s New for 2026?The Roma carries over unchanged for 2026, but this is its final model year. Next year, the Amalfi steps into the Roma’s place in the Ferrari lineup.Pricing and Which One to BuyIt’s mostly window shopping, but if we were to indulge in Roma ownership, we’d paint it Verde British green, an available historical color. There are six wheel options, and we think the darker matte Grigio Corsa wheels look sharp with equally darker paint. Interior color options are nearly limitless, available in both single-color and two-tone motifs with Rosso Ferrari leather trim. There’s no wrong choice here, except, of course, for Nero black, which feels way too corporate.Engine, Transmission, and Performance
- Engine: 612-hp twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8
- Transmission: 8-speed dual-clutch automatic
- Drivetrain: rear-wheel-drive
Stuffed under the Roma’s lengthy hood and mounted near the middle of the car is a turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 that makes 612 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) that debuted on the even more exotic Ferrari SF90 Stradale. While we’ve had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Roma, we haven’t had a chance to test its performance at the track. Still, our drive taught us that this Ferrari can be enjoyed both during a nonchalant cruise or when raced around winding corners. Its high-revving V-8 produces glorious sounds, and the DCT quickly adapts to requests for snappy gear changes, especially when you turn the drive mode dial to Sport or Race. While its steering was light on effort, we appreciated the helm’s directness and precision.0–60-MPH Times
- Claimed 60-mph Time: 3.4 seconds
In Comparison: The slinky Aston Martin DB12 Volante should reach 60 mph in about the same amount of time.Additional ResearchFuel Economy and Real-World MPG
- EPA City Rating: 17 mpg
- EPA Highway Rating: 22 mpg
The EPA hasn’t released any fuel-economy information for the 2026 Roma yet, but the 2025 model earned ratings of 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. For more information about the Roma’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.Interior, Comfort, and CargoFirst Row: Stitched together with leather and swathed in faux suede, the Roma’s interior mixes upscale materials with a unique layout. Each front-seat passenger is cocooned by a sweeping dashboard that flows into the doors and a floating center console. The driver faces a giant 16-inch fully digital gauge cluster that responds to haptic controls on the Roma’s button-heavy, flat-bottom steering wheel.Second Row: A pair of rear seats makes the Roma a 2+2 coupe, and the space is suitable for adults in short spurts as long as the front seats are properly adjusted.Cargo Capacity: Unlike most other Ferrari models, the Roma has a large center console; just don’t expect its interior cubby storage to be plentiful. A 10.3 cubic-foot trunk sits out back and should be enough room for a pair of duffel bags for a weekend away.Infotainment and Connectivity
- Infotainment: 8.4-inch touchscreen
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
- Audio System: 7-speaker stereo (standard); 12-speaker JBL stereo (optional)
The Roma is more of a grand tourer than a focused track star. As a result, it treats passengers with more infotainment and connectivity features than some other Ferrari models. This includes a vertically mounted 8.4-inch touchscreen as well as a separate screen for the front passenger.Safety and Driver-Assistance FeaturesWhile driver-assistance technology is usually an afterthought on ultra-pricey sports cars, the Roma offers several advanced assists.
- Optional Safety Features: adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert
For information about the Roma’s crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites.Warranty and Maintenance CoverageOwning a Ferrari is much different than owning a Toyota, since you’re not likely to rack up thousands of miles a year. That’s why the brand’s relatively short, limited and powertrain coverages are not surprising. Still, the automaker provides lengthy complimentary maintenance and offers extended warranty plans.
- Limited Warranty: three years and unlimited miles
- Powertrain Warranty: three years and unlimited miles
- Complimentary Maintenance: seven years and unlimited miles
