SUVs at the largest end of the spectrum are profitable for automakers, which is why they still produce these low-volume, bigger-than-life vehicles. Among the best in the segment is the 2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve. Let’s look at this vehicle to see what it offers.
2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve – What Is It?
The Navigator is a very large luxury SUV. Reserve is a top trim. The Navigator is equipped with three rows of seating, in which full-size people can be comfortable in every seating position. Lincoln is Ford’s premier brand, and Navigator is called the flagship of Lincoln by the company. Therefore, Navigator is what one might call the top model for all of Ford.
2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve – What Does It Cost?
The media test vehicle we had a chance to try had a price of $105,360, including its $1,995 Destination and Delivery charge and options, but not including dealer Doc fees. Its EPA-estimated annual fuel cost is $2,750, partly due to the fact that it uses regular fuel. With a 22 MPG Highway rating, the Navigator is surprisingly fuel-efficient given its size.
2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve – What Makes it Special?
The Navigator is the largest of Lincoln’s many big SUVs. It’s not the size of a Ford Explorer, but rather it is bigger – about the size of a Ford Expedition. The infotainment system is the most unusual aspect of the vehicle. Instead of a traditional screen in the center of the dash and gauge cluster for the driver, there is a four-foot large wrap-around screen at the base of the windshield and a low-mounted main infotainment screen. Android Auto is available as well as Apple CarPlay. The Revel Ultima 3D audio system is fantastic and is equipped with 28 speakers.
The Navigator’s front seats are also a defining feature. They have many adjustments and offer a massage function. Ford bills the Navigator as a “spa on wheels,” and it provides scenting, and a relaxing waterfall infotainment experience in the cabin as part of that theme.

2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve – Powertrain and Towing Capability
The Navigator has a superb twin-turbocharged engine developing immense torque (510 lb-ft) at low RPMs. This is the ideal engine for towing large loads. The automatic 10-speed transmission and 4×4 system are a great match for that engine, since they provide plenty of gears for keeping the torque and power available and a way to put that torque to use on boat ramps. Our tester was equipped with the Heavy-Duty Towing Package, enabling towing up to 8,700 pounds. There is virtually nothing short of a diesel-dually pickup with a fifth wheel setup that can tow more. Ford would be happy to sell you one to accompany your Navigator if you need it. The Navigator has a spare tire mounted up under the rear of the vehicle. That earns our respect. Any vehicle without a spare has no right being called an SUV.
2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve – Where It Works Best – Where It Does Not
The Navigator is plush on the highway, where its long wheelbase and size are not disadvantages. We did not tow with it, but if you have a boat, camper, or horse trailer you wish to tow, this is an ideal setup for that.
The Navigator would not fit in our garage, and it is tricky to move in tight spaces, strictly due to its length and width. We’d also take precautions before entering a city parking garage to ensure it’s not too high for the ceiling. Parking is not as easy as with a typical three-row SUV.
2025 Lincoln Navigator Reserve – Summary
Those looking for the pinnacle of comfort and capability in a vehicle among the very largest made today will find it in the Lincoln Navigator.
