The 2025 BMW X5 continues to be produced locally at BMW’s Chennai plant and is available with both petrol and diesel mild-hybrid powertrains. It has been listed at a starting ex-showroom price tag of ₹1.00 crore and offers four variants across the range. Alongside cosmetic upgrades, BMW has introduced the M Sport Pro package, available on select trims. With this add-on, the X5 gets treated to high-gloss black design elements, M Sport Exhaust, and sporty, red-painted M Sport brakes. The updated model further adds creature comforts, such as an adaptive 2-axle air suspension setup and electrically adjustable comfort seats as standard. 2025 BMW X5: Features and EquipmentThe updated X5 brings a sportier exterior design with matrix adaptive LED headlights, new L-shaped taillamps with an illuminated X motif, and 21-inch alloy wheels as standard. On the inside, the cabin features the BMW Curved Display integrating a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment display, identical to the older setup. Standard features include a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, 4-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and Comfort Access. The interior is upholstered in Merino leather, which can be had in Tartufo or Black and Ivory White for the standard variants, and Black for the M Sport Pro variants. Buyers opting for the M Sport Pro package get treated to a piano black interior trim with exclusive M seat belts, alongside high-gloss black design elements such as the kidney grille and tailpipe trims. The update further expands the connectivity suite with BMW ConnectedDrive, Digital Key Plus, and the MyBMW app for remote services and status monitoring. The standard xOffroad package offers four drive modes: xSand, xRocks, xGravel, and xSnow. These adjust suspension, throttle response, and traction settings according to the terrain type. The system further provides visual feedback through the central display, showing parameters such as ground clearance and roll angles. The xDrive40i petrol variant produces 381 hp and 520 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 kmph stint in 5.4 seconds. The xDrive30d diesel variants generate 286 hp and 650 Nm, and can sprint to 100 kmph from a standstill in 6.1 seconds. Both units are mated to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission and feature BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The SUV features adaptive 2-axle air suspension as standard for improved ride quality, while the M Sport Differential aids in enhancing cornering stability.
